Celebrating female-founded brands you'll want to know.
Since November 2025, we've been spotlighting the next generation of female-founded consumer brands and celebrating female entrepreneurship, showing that building a business is a real, viable career path for women from all walks of life, regardless of background, age, culture, or circumstance.
We started Mindful Brand to support women in succeeding in business - not just through what we do, but also in how we shop. We believe in a future where more seven-figure consumer brands are built by women, and we're committed to helping make that vision a reality.
Deciding which businesses to support is a personal choice.
If, like us, you prefer to champion female-owned brands, we hope you enjoy this series.
Today, we’re featuring Mary Mary, founded by Lilly Andrews in 2025 in the UK.
About the Brand
Mary Mary is a sexy, savoury, award-winning premixed Bloody Mary that banishes every preconception of tomato juice. The brand gave a classic built-in booze, British ingredients and heat you can dial up or down using fresh chillies for a gradual kick. Pour over ice, add garnish, done.
Made for anyone, anywhere, anytime, at home with 18-year-olds and 90-somethings, enjoyed from a hangover to 30,000ft. The drink stays the same, only the garnish changes.
Savoury, spicy and sexy, Mary Mary looks as good as she tastes, from packaging to the flecks of ingredients in the glass. Full-bodied and unapologetically maximalist, with tomato, pickles and artisanal vodka. Vegan and allergen-free too - never just tomato and vodka.
Meet the Founder
Lilly is based in London. With a background across advertising and publishing, and a few more niche industries along the way, she spent years creating for other brands before deciding to make Mary Mary real.
Mary Mary is Lilly's first business, and she is building it solo. She still works alongside running the business, juggling several roles at once, and lives for the variety.

How She Started
Lilly couldn't find a Bloody Mary she wanted to be served. They're notoriously slow to make, inconsistent and all too often sent back. She knew the classic deserved better, and thought: how hard can it be to make a drink?
It started with a drawing. With a cheeky nod to the nursery rhyme Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary, Lilly drew a Queen of Hearts with a tendency to step out of line, breaking free from her playing card. She became the brand's symbol of determination: challenging expectations and defying the ordinary.
A few years and many taste tests later, with friends and family as willing tributes, Mary Mary was ready. It turns out it is, in fact, quite hard to build a drinks start-up. But at least she's never parched.
What She Learned
Lilly has learned that the thing you have to be most prepared for is the relentlessness of it. But it genuinely never occurred to her that not knowing the drinks industry meant she couldn't do it.
Building something requires a fairly unwavering, borderline delusional belief that you'll just work it out. Everyone starts somewhere, after all.
Where to shop
