Celebrating female-founded brands you'll want to know.

Since November 2025, we've been spotlighting the next generation of female-founded consumer brands and celebrating female entrepreneurship, showing that building a business is a real, viable career path for women from all walks of life, regardless of background, age, culture, or circumstance.

We started Mindful Brand to support women in succeeding in business - not just through what we do, but also in how we shop. We believe in a future where more seven-figure consumer brands are built by women, and we're committed to helping make that vision a reality.

Deciding which businesses to support is a personal choice.

If, like us, you prefer to champion female-owned brands, we hope you enjoy this series.

Today, we’re featuring Period Harmony, founded by Raminder Samra in 2023 in the UK.

About the Brand

Period Harmony launched in the UK three years ago, set up to innovate in areas of women's health that are often overlooked, starting with period pain. Its Monthly Soothers are drug-free period pain relief patches formulated by doctors. The menthol helps distract from and soothe period cramps, and the ultra-thin, dermatologist-approved patches work for up to 12 hours, so wearers can stick one on and get on with their day.

The patches are for anyone tired of choosing between painkillers, hot water bottles and just suffering through it.

People choose Period Harmony because the patches fit real life: discreet under clothes, no pills, no mess.

Meet the Founder

Raminder is a London-based solo founder and former award-winning advertising creative.

Tired of dealing with her own period pain month after month, and frustrated by how underserved people experiencing it are, she decided to build the solution herself alongside pain specialists.

Period Harmony is now stocked across Boots, Superdrug, Holland & Barrett and Waitrose, with an organic TikTok community of over 1.2 million.

How She Started

Like millions of people, Raminder knew the monthly routine of painkillers and hot water bottles too well, and was frustrated that period pain relief hadn't meaningfully innovated in decades.

She wanted something drug-free, effective and designed for real life. So she worked with pain specialists to develop Monthly Soothers.

What She Learned

Raminder has learned to build her audience before building her shelf presence.

Retailers said yes to Period Harmony because she walked in with a community of over a million people who already loved the brand, not just a product in a box.

Her unfair advantage is how well she understands her customer.

Where to shop

Period Harmony is available to buy at www.periodharmony.com, Amazon, TikTok Shop, Boots, Superdrug, Holland & Barrett and Waitrose in the UK, and Spinneys and Waitrose in the UAE.
