About the Brand

Sirop is on a mission to take maple syrup beyond the breakfast table. The brand sources the most delicious, single-forest maple syrup direct from growers throughout Quebec.

Sirop is for anyone who loves to cook, has a sweet tooth, or simply appreciates great quality, genuinely delicious products that put producers and a transparent supply chain first - and for anyone who loves supporting women-owned brands.

Their maple syrup comes direct from the source, true to the quality found in Canada. There are no additives and no oils, and every tin comes from that year's harvest - never left in fridges for years before being shipped over to the UK.

Meet the Founder

Yasmin is based in London. She has spent her career working across every stage of the food chain - on farms and for growers in Australia, managing her own kitchen garden in France, for suppliers like Natoora, in restaurants including JKS Restaurants, and with food brands.

Passionate about how food travels from producer to plate, Yasmin built Sirop from everything she believes in: transparency, traceability and respect for where food comes from. She wants to connect people not just to great ingredients, but to the stories of people and places behind them.

How She Started

While spending time in Québec, Yasmin tasted true maple syrup for the first time - and discovered how deeply woven it was into everyday cooking. It wasn't just for pancakes, it was whisked into dressings, sauces and marinades. Its depth and versatility were unlike anything she'd experienced.

Back in the UK, she noticed maple syrup appearing more in modern cookbooks, alongside growing demand for alternative sugars in cooking, hot drinks and cocktails - yet every bottle of maple syrup seemed to fall short: the flavour was artificial and flat from over-processing. The rich, complex syrup she'd come to love was nowhere to be found.

Sirop was born from a desire to bridge that gap: bringing real, single-forest maple syrup to the UK with all the nuance, craft and authenticity that make it a cornerstone of Québec's culinary culture.

What She Learned

Yasmin has learned that her power is absolutely her community. This journey so far has been enabled and completely enriched with the people she's met, and she is constantly struck by their generosity - no matter how busy or successful they might be.

One of those people is Alice Galsworthy, the COO of Mother Root, who is always there to lend an ear and advise. There are also countless others, including Sofia Buttarazzi from SPILL, among many more.
