The brand is designed for people who want real results without compromising their skin barrier - particularly those with sensitive, reactive, or hormonally impacted skin.

Meet the Founder

Teja is a first-time founder, originally from Slovenia, who moved to Austria at 18 to pursue her studies and is now building a global brand.

A biotechnologist and skincare formulator by training, Teja began her career as a research assistant in the pharma industry before stepping into entrepreneurship. She built Butter Be Kind from the ground up as a solo founder.

Her work blends lab-based innovation with a deep belief that skincare should feel supportive, empowering, and kind - both to the skin and the planet.

How She Started

Butter Be Kind started from a personal need.

Born with eczema and sensitive skin, Teja spent years struggling to find products that were both gentle and effective. Most solutions were either overly aggressive or too basic to deliver results.

Instead of compromising, she went back to the lab and began formulating her own products - combining natural ingredients and holistic medicine with scientific precision.

What started as a personal solution quickly evolved into a brand designed to support others experiencing the same challenges.

What She Learned

Teja has learned that clarity creates momentum.

The moment a clear decision is made - about a vision, a direction, or even a next step - things start moving. Opportunities, people, and solutions begin to align.

You don't need everything figured out, but you do need to decide and take action. Indecision keeps you stuck longer than any mistake ever will.
